What should I look for in supportive shoes?

What to Look for in a Supportive Shoe

  1. Shoe length: Check that your shoe length is 6 mm (1/4") longer than your longest toe.
  2. Closure: Laces or Velcro® closure allows a snug fit and allows for swelling.
  3. Heel cup: Back of shoe covers the heel to provide support and prevent slipping.
  4. Heel shape: Heel is rounded and wide to give more contact with the ground.
