How to express polynomials in terms of divisor, quotient?

The degree of the Divisor ( 1) and the degree of the Quotient ( 2) add up to the degree of the Polynomial ( 3) The degree of the Remainder ( 0) is less than the degree of the Divisor ( 1 ). Therefore for linear divisors (degree = 1), the remainder (if it exists) is always a constant (degree = 0).
