Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Electricians for projects located in and around Petersburg, VA. This is a second and third shift opportunity with a pay rate is $26-28/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Install wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting and corrugating machinery Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners, and photo-electric devices Read electrical block diagrams, schematics, and PLC ladder logic Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools Diagnose and repair faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards Troubleshoot drives (i.e.: AC and DC), malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems Assist Industrial Mechanics as needed Requirements: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Certificate required. Must pass drug screen and background check Ability to lift 50 lbs.
